All umpires who officiate MRPA-USSSA league games or sanctioned tournaments
must be registered with the MRPA-USSSA.
Registration and Fees
Registration applications are automatically sent out to all of last
year’s umpires in mid-February. Contact MRPA for applications.
Fees
$50 Pre-Registration: MRPA must receive (not post-marked) at least four days
before the clinic date
$60 At-the-door Registration and registrations not meeting pre-registration
deadline
$60 Late Fee (after April 28)
$30 Youth (18 years or younger)
Optional Purchases
Umpires may also purchase the following items from the MRPA:
$9 each additional Rule Book (includes shipping)
$16 each MRPA Softball Guide/Invitational Tournament Schedule (includes
shipping)
Certification Requirements
To become officially certified, individuals must fulfill two requirements:
Mail registration application and fee to the MRPA, 200 Charles Street NE , Fridley , MN 55432 , Fridley MN 55432.
Attend a Rules Interpretation Clinic.
Attendance is manditory and the USSSA Umpires Test is administered.
New umpires must attend one of the New Umpire Clinics offered throughout
the state.
Clinic Information
To help us in the registration process, umpires should submit their
registration applications as far in advance of their chosen clinic as
possible. An umpire may, however, attend a clinic without having previously
submitted an application. A $10 late fee for same-day registering (at
the door) is applied.

Eligibility to umpire USSSA games throughout Minnesota

Membership in an organization that strives to improve the professionalism
and quality of sports officiating
Eligibility to umpire games in regional, state, divisional, and world
tournaments
